What exactly is the Video Music about?
The Video Music Awards is an annual event that is normally held in New York each year.
However MTV is returning for a 2nd year to Miami Beach, Florida. Thousands of particpants from all over the country will come together for a 4 days party full of concerts, activities, parties and more. Last year, the weather was beautiful, the parties were lavish, the beaches were full and the scenery was breath taking.
What happens at the event?
The actual event will occur at the American Airlines Arena in Miami Florida on Sunday August 29, 2005 at 8:00 P.M. live. The parties will occur all week before the actual awards function.
All the hotels, clubs, shops,concerts and etc. all take place in in this area. The entire Miami area will be the hot zone and in particular South Beach Miamui.
Who is putting togther this event?
The Video Music Awards in Miami is being put on by MTV. Last year the performers arrived on luxurious yahts and were red carpeted to the arena. You must experience what it's like in person. Miami does it like no other.
Who will be there for 2005
The MTV awards in Miami brings a whos who in entertainment from music to movies to sports. Believe us when we tell you that you will witness a ton of celebrites on the beach and in the restaurants as you mingle and meet your favorites entertainers. How Much Does It Cost To Attend The Event And How Much Are The Tickets?

What hotels should I stay in?
If you want to stay close to the venue, downtown Miami will be the hot spot. Everything is within walking distance or a short cab ride from the venue. Of course, many people also enjoy the atmosphere in the South Beach area. If you decide to south beach, you can easily drive to the downtown area if you have access to a vehical.(10-15 minute) You can choose to rent a car to travel throughout the city.
Is it better to fly or drive?
That is up to you. If you decide to fly, most people choose Miami to as their final destination. However, Ft Lauderdale is usually cheaper and is only 30 minutes away from Miami.
Do I really need a car to get around?
Not really. If you choose to, many people stay along South Beach and take a cab to longer destinations.
Ok, I still don't have a way to get from the airport to Miami and I dont know anyone that meets the age requirement....What can I do?
There are busses and taxi cabs who will take you to Miami Beach from the airport.Most run about $20.00
